I have decided to reformat my old (read low spec) Dell laptop and do a clean fresh install of Win 7.
I have Win 7 on my desktop so know how good it is.
My question is what version of Win 7 do you recommend for the laptop.
(with link if pos  Wink )
thanks,

I would suggest the All in one (AIO) by orbit, and depending on your machine specs, basic, if 512 or less ram, premium or ultimate if 1GB or more of ram.  The AIO will provide you with choice of version and automatically activate with slic during the install...  Wink

I have installed Home premium and Ultimate on 1.73GHz processor with 512MB RAM Ultimate ran a bit slower than Premium but both were acceptable.  BTW that laptop is still running that installation.

Thanks chaps  Smiley
I have 2gig RAM - just bought some more - and 1.60GHz processor.

I cannot quickly find AIO by Orbit.

However I see I already have a copy of:
7600.16385.090713-1255_x86fre_client_en-us_Retail_Ultimate-GRMCULFRER_EN_DVD.iso

Do you think that will that suffice, please.

Thanks.
I too have been hunting.
Just found this:
http://www.picktorrent.com/download/99/4128396/windows-7-aio---activated-editions-32bit---64bit-by-orbit30/
Downloading as we speak. Dunno how to tell if it is a safe copy.

Once it is downloaded you can try to run it thru virustotal. here

Virustotal uses approximately 40 different virus, malware, trojan, worm scanners and presents its results.  However something this size would take a while to scan.
