OK, I screwed up.  Tongue   When I want to install Windows 7 all went well.  I have 2 driver in my computer.  A 260gig "small" drive and a 1 Tb "big" drive.  My old XP system had tagged the small drive as drive D, and made the Tb drive (which is split into 2 drives) as C and E.   When I was loading Win 7 and it asked where I wanted the boot drive I picked the "big" drive.  My computer would not boot so I went through the install again.  I noticed, when asked which drive to boot from, that it listed the small drive 1st so I picked it.  All went fine.  It seems that Win 7 had renamed the drives making the little drive "C" and the big drive D and E.  Now everything works but upon start up I get the duel boot screen wanting to know whether to boot Windows 7 or Windows 7!  Now the question.  How to I remove the boot copy of windows 7 from my second drive without wiping out anything else?  Any help will be appreciated.

The easiest way to remove an entry in the Windows 7 Boot Configuration is to use msconfig.

To launch msconfig:

1.  Click Start
2.  In the Search text box, type msconfig
3.  Launch msconfig by selecting it from the search results above the search text box.

After msconfig is launched:

1.  Go to the Boot tab
2.  Slect the boot entry you want to delete.
3.  Click the Delete button and then click OK.

Make sure to be logged in to the Windows 7 partition you want to keep when performing these steps so you don't delete the good installation by mistake.
