Giada has a track record of making small, attractive computers. Most of the devices Iíve seen from Giada in the past have been low power machines with Intel Atom or AMD Fusion processors. But the new Giada D2305 is a small form-factor PC that packs a little more punch thanks to an Intel Ivy Bridge processor and optional NVIDIA graphics.
The Giada D2305 will be available in the US and Canada starting in July for around $680.
The little computer measures 9″ x 6.9″ x 2.2″ and Giada is positioning it as a good option for a home theater PC that you can stick next to the TV in your living room. It comes with a wireless remote control.
The Giada D2305 will be available with a third generation Intel Core i3, Core i5, or Core i7 processor. It can also be configured with NVIDIA GeForce GT610 or GT640 graphics.
The computer ships with 4GB of RAM, but supports up to 8GB. It also features a 500GB hard drive, 3 USB 3.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, an eSATA port, a flash card reader, Ethernet, WiFi, HDMI, DVI, and S/PDIF.
It can handle 1080p HD video whether using Intel or NVIDIA graphics, and also supports 7.1 channel HD audio.
A slot-loading optical drive option is also available.
The computer isnít fanless, so you might hear a bit of noise. But it features a single fan which Giada claims helps keep the D2305 bot quiet and cool.
