New iPad Is Able to Function Even When Frozen - Video

Although it’s probably not a good idea to freeze your iPad, especially if you have the third gen tablet, some folks have done it, in order to promote ZooGue iPhone and iPad cases. All they did is freeze the New iPad into a block of ice, having wrapped a sandwich bag around it first.



What we know from the manuals and instructions is that the iPad 3 will operate down to 32 degrees Fahrenheit and lower than that it may malfunction, but it didn’t in this case. Consider this a “will it freeze” experiment, after so many Will It Blend episodes and trials. It’s impressive to see the sleep/wake magnets working ever through the ice, so kudos Apple for your functional toy. And remember, if you the new Ice Age comes tomorrow, your iPad will be safe, at least till some of the ice melts and fries it.
 
Once again, do not freeze your iPad, since you’ll probably ruin it and if you do, don’t drop it from high above like the guy in the video. ZooGue is known for such tricks, including dropping the iPad into molten lava. Wonder what they’ll come up with next…
