Music and Video Metro Apps Renamed to Microsoft.Zune Music and Video Respectively

The latest images of Windows 8 build 8306 has leaked. The code name for the build is post-beta which shows many new changes in the app names and new color options during the post installation menu.

The images were leaked by WinUnlaeked.tk showing some changes which are made in the latest build 8306 code named as post-beta.

The setup of Windows 8 post-beta now shows Windows 8 instead of Windows 8 Consumer Preview whereas the current beta version of Windows 8 aka Windows 8 Consumer Preview shows Windows 8 Consumer Preview.

There are new sku’s shown in the setup process and new color selection menu can be seen during the post installation process which was leaked yesterday.

In the Metro-UI of Windows 8 post-beta, the apps have been renamed e.g. Music and Video apps have now been named as Microsoft.Zune Music and Microsoft.Zune Video respectively.

All the other Microsoft apps have also got the Microsoft name before their name. Look’s like Microsoft wants to separate its own apps from third party ones.

Microsoft seems to be working hard and fast to make its next OS, Windows 8, full of new features and make it free of bugs. Windows 8 is also reportedly scheduled to be released in October later this year.
