Hello folks, I am getting a Not Responding problem since 7100.

My system is x32bit.

When 7000 came out I used it and loved it and had no problems like this.
When the RC1 came out I did a Clean install and this Not Responding issue started.
I have since done another Clean install using 7127.
The Not Responding problem remains  Cry

Oh it is sooo frustrating.
I am usually pretty good at resolving my problems, but with the system behaving like it is, it is unworkable coz of the lag between clicking a button and the response. Grrhh  Angry

Sadly I cannot now revert to 7000 which worked fine for me on this kit.
To do any work I have to go back to XP Pro (I dual boot).
Surely with so many folk having trouble with Not Responding apps there is a solution.
Please help if you can.
Thanks,

Now, have you installed anything that makes changes to explorer, or altered any shell files.?
Also go back to the last time it worked, had you installed any new app, or has it always done it from first install.?

Hello gangsta4christ, I cannot see how that will resolve this Not Responding problem that started with a Clean install of 7100 and has stayed a problem even with another Clean of 7127. It wasn't a problem with 7000.
Nevertheless I might do another Clean Install of 7127.
I'll get a fresh download too - where do I find riso's link.
I was just hanging on in case another Leak came along.
When are we expecting the next Leak from reliable riso  Wink
Trouble is, coz I like 7 so much I am using it as my main OS, which means that all my programs and apps and MSOffice and stuff are all installed, and tweaked and everything.
Another Clean Install involves a lot of work to get up and running again.

Win7 7137 is out, so why not upgrade to it.   Smiley I do not install/upgrade via DVD.  but I do always make a copy. I use DVD-RW rated at 2.5x speed.  never a bad copy unless the download was bad (have had that 2 times).
I have a spare partition where i uncompress the ISO. (use either Winrar or Ultraiso.) I remove my Firewall and Antiviris - yes, remove.
from that partition when booted into Win7. click setup and follow instructions.  always click upgrade and get all available upgrades first.  average time to upgrade is 45m to 55m.
I have had a "Not responding"  more than once...(sometimes i wait 20 to 30s ) fixed, or  a reboot will  fix that, or you might schedule a hdd chck and have it check for BAD SECTORS, and Cross-linked files... takes time but usually one time will fix all that....
