Today BioWare released the Extended Cut free DLC for Mass Effect 3, which adds 1.8GBs worth of extra explanation to the ending, plus one new amusingly defiant ending. Having watched the four revised endings, I'd say that "extra explanation" is an appropriate description for it, because not a whole lot has actually changed. If you didn't like the way Shepard's story ended in Mass Effect 3, you still don't. But if, like me, you accepted the premise of the ending but found it lacking in attention to detail and closure, there's a little extra meat here that ME3 veterans should at least watch, if not play. So what's changed? Without spoiling anything, aside from the new ending there are no real surprises. I noticed a few new lines of dialog inserted to explain what was going on, as well as filled in gaps like how the crew ends up on the Normandy after Shepard goes to the Citadel. These are small things, but they do make a difference in that you'll probably spend less time scratching your head...Read more and see some various endings on Our Forum.
